The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Weak layers of faceted snow persist in the the snowpack. The potential to trigger hard slabs up to four feet in depth on very steep avalanche prone slopes and for wet slides to occur on very steep sunlit aspects will increase as the day warms.
