These slabs lie upon a hard crust on slopes succeptable to sunlight this time of year and on weak snow on shaded aspects. There is a chance that backcountry users could trigger pockets of these slabs in steep, wind loaded avalanche starting zones. Below 9,000' the hazard is LOW as snow depths are shallow and avalanches are unlikely.
