Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE. The possibility remains for backcountry travelers to trigger six to twelve inch surface slabs on steep, wind-loaded slopes. As the day warms, these slabs will become more susceptible to failure along with the chance of loose snow sluffs on sunlit aspects. A slight potential remains for deeper hard slabs to be triggered on very steep slopes and in cliff areas.
