Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. New soft slabs up to one foot in depth have formed on leeward aspects and could be easily triggered today. These shallow slabs are large enough in area to produce significant volumes of debris. They also have potential to pull out deeper layers of weak faceted snow in areas with a shallow snowpack. Wet slides and wet loose snow avalanches are possible today on steep sunlit aspects as temperatures warm.
