Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. The avalanche hazard will increase today with forecasted snowfall and winds. Old surfaces are weak and will not support new snow well, particularly on steep slopes and near ridge crests where drifts are developing. Slides may be easily triggered by backcountry travellers as the day progresses.
