Avalanche Summary

No recent avalanche activity has been reported.

If you are headed into the backcountry please consider submitting a MIN report.

Snowpack Summary

Cool and clear weather continues to promote surface hoar formation and faceting at the surface. A crust exists at the surface on south-facing slopes and lower elevations. Loose, dry snow may still exist in shaded, north-facing terrain at higher elevations.

The mid and lower snowpack is well consolidated, with no significant layers of concern.

Terrain and Travel Advice

  • The snowpack is generally stable; it may be appropriate to step out into more complex terrain.
  • A hard crust on the snow surface will help strengthen the snowpack, but may cause tough travel conditions.
  • Use caution above cliffs and terrain traps where even small avalanches may have severe consequences.
