Storm warning, North winds, 15cm or more locally for Icefields area starting Wednesday night. May overload problems on specific slopes. Sunday's size 3 triggered by skiers shows Valentines surface hoar still a problem so stay vigilant.

Moderate winds continue to build slabs on lee slopes. No avalanches noted on this layer but bonds have not been tested. Another 15cm or more may arrive tonight with Northerly winds further adding to this layer. Watch for reverse loading patterns.

Deep Persistent Slabs
There have been several reports of large avalanches especially to the south of us. Skiers at the Icefields triggered a size 3 on this layer last Sunday. Triggering is more likely from shallow areas on the slope. Keep this layer on your radar.
