Regions: Jasper.

Trace amounts of precip and light winds in the forecast are not enough for a reset of the terrain. Good riding can still be found on sheltered lee locations.

Snowpack Summary

Forecast area experiencing light to calm winds last couple of days keeping 5cm of new powder snow over previous surfaces. The Oct 25 crust is 2-4cm thick and down 60 to 80cm with facets above and below it. Hard progressive collapse failures have been observed immediately below this crust. Early season hazards lurk just below the surface.

Avalanche Summary

No patrol on Friday and nothing new reported. Nothing new observed or reported on Thursday but visibility was poor.
