Terrain and Travel Advice
- Pay attention to cornices and give them a wide berth when traveling on or below ridges.
- Limit exposure to steep, sun exposed slopes, especially when the solar radiation is strong.

Daytime warming will weaken cornices. Stay well back of them on ridges and limit travel beneath them. A cornice release could trigger old wind slabs on slopes below.
