Avalanche Summary
No significant avalanche activity has been reported over the weekend. A few small (size 1) wind slabs were observed in alpine terrain on Sunday, and loose dry avalanches were triggered in steep terrain. On Saturday and Friday, several small (15-30 cm thick) soft slabs were triggered by skiers on north and east aspects around 2000 m.
Snowpack Summary
10-30 cm of low density snow sits above old hard surfaces including wind-affected snow and crusts. The low density snow may sluff easily above crusts on steep south-facing slopes, and has possibly formed some thin wind slabs in the alpine. The lower snowpack is strong and settled.
