Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. At mid and upper elevations soft slabs up to 18 inches in depth exist on steep wind loaded slopes and cliff areas. These slabs could be triggered by skiers, snowboarders and snowmobilers. These slabs are expected to become more sensitive this afternoon as new snow arrives accompanied by strong winds. At lower elevations avalanches are unlikely except for isolated pockets in steep areas where wind loading has occured.
