Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE on steep higher elevation terrain where pockets of new soft slab up to 10 inches in depth have formed on an excellent old snow sliding layer. Avoid steep wind loaded aspects underlain by a hard old snow layer as these soft slabs will be easy to trigger. Areas of new snow that is not underlain by a hard old snow surface do not present a hazard from avalanches.
