Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. Recent snowfall that lies upon a weak snow pack has formed dangerous slabs in steep avalanche terrain above 8000'. These large slabs that have depths of two to four feet are sensitive, and could easily be triggered by one skier or rider. Conservative decision making, careful route finding, and good travel habits are recommended.
