Highlights
The avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. New soft slabs to a foot in depth have formed on steep wind loaded terrain at the higher elevations. These slabs lie upon a hard crust on all aspects and could be triggered by backcountry enthusiasts. As the day warms these slabs will become more sensitive and if significant sunlight and warming occur the potential for larger wet slides may also develop.
