On the surface, a widespread melt-freeze crust exists on nearly all aspects and elevations. The crust ranges from roughly 1 to 10 cm. The crust is generally supportive in the mornings while breaking down through the day. Below the surface crust, the snowpack is moist and generally well settled and bonding, with no current layers of concern.
