Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today and will increase to CONSIDERABLE this afternoon as new snowfall occurrs. This morning pockets of slab to three feet from recent storms could be triggered on steep terrain near cliff and rocky areas. This afternoon new surface slabs will form as new snow and strong winds occurr that will be sensitive to human triggers in avalanche starting zones and once triggered could pull out these deeper pockets to three feet.
