Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE this morning and will increase to CONSIDERABLE as temperatures warm and snow surfaces soften. Settlement and yesterdays melt/freeze cycle have helped to stabilize the snowpack. However, persistant weaknesses in the snow present the potential for snowmobilers to trigger large dangerous slabs on steep wind loaded aspects. Sunshine and warming temperatures could spontaneously release wet slides and will increase the potential for human triggered avalanche events.
