Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is HIGH today. New snow and strong winds have deposited surface slabs to three feet in avalanche terrain that will be easily triggered by backcountry riders on steep wind loaded slopes. Once triggered these slabs may pull out deeper layers of snow as they lie upon a weak snowpack with layers of surface hoar and faceted snow down to the ground. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED TODAY.
