Weather Forecast

A few flurries as the winds switch to the north and the cold air invades then the deep freeze begins.  No change expected until the end of the week.

Snowpack Summary

Southerly slopes in the alpine have been stripped with hard slab on lee features. At treeline, there is a faceted snowpack that is still just supportive but weakening in shallow areas. No shears found in test pits in the Icefields area yesterday.

Watch for areas of hard wind slab in steep alpine features.Caution in lee and cross-loaded terrain near ridge crests.
