Weather Forecast

A series of cold fronts embedded in a north westerly flow will bring precipitation to the forecast region this week. The first system is expected to arrive Tuesday with 10-15cm of snow. Snowpack Summary

Incoming new snow will overlay a variaty of high pressure surface conditions such as facets, isolated surface hoar ,crusts and windslabs. The Oct 25th crust can be found as much as 30cm off the ground and likely encountered between 1800-2,700m. The snow cover below treeline is thin.

Although currently dormant, it would be wise to assess the strength of the interfaces above & below the October 25 crust before entering committing lines. This layer exists on most skiable slopes.
