Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. Strong southwest to west winds and new snow have formed new soft slabs up to two feet in depth. These slabs lie upon slick crusts and weak layers of depth hoar and buried surface hoar. Dangerous soft slab avalanches could be easily triggered today by riders or skiers and could release naturally.
