Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is HIGH today. New snow yesterday and over five feet since Christmas along with strong winds have developed the potential for large slides. Avalanches could be easily triggered by users or run naturally. Natural slides have occurred at all elvations including the Snake River and Hoback Canyons and on the higher peaks. User triggered slides have also run. Be aware of the potential for being covered by small sloughs in terrain traps and tree wells. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED.
