Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Recent snow has formed slabs to a foot in depth in avalanche terrain. These slabs will increase in size with expected snowfall today and lie upon a weak snowpack comprised mainly of faceted snow and hard crusts. The potential exists for pockets of these slabs to be triggered by backcountry users today in steep avalanche starting zones.
