Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is LOW today. With strong Northwest winds and afternoon clouds the snow surface should remain relatively cold and stable and the possibility of triggering avalanche activity will be limited to isolated pockets of surface slabs on very steep terrain at the higher elevations. If unexpected heating and softening of the snow pack do occur wet slide activity will become possible on steep sunlit slopes this afternoon.
