The General Avalanche Hazard is CONSIDERABLE. In upper elevation avalanche terrain strong winds and new snow have formed soft slabs to 18" depths on leeward slopes. These slabs lie upon a weak layer of faceted snow and could be easily triggered triggered today by backcountry users. These slabs will increase in size and sensitivity as the snow continues.
