The General Avalanche Hazard is LOW this morning as overnight freezing temperatures have hardened the snow surface and avalanche activity is unlikely. The hazard will quickly rise to MODERATE by this afternoon as sunlight and rapidly warming temperatures weaken the snow surface and provide the possibility for human and naturally triggered wet slides. This activity is likely in the recently recieved surface snow at higher elevations and could involve older, deeper layers of snow at the lower elevations where warmer temperatures have weakened the snowpack.
