Observed

2nd snowboarder triggered a persistent slab from a wind lip/cornice feature in a relatively low angle location that propagated into a steep slope and flushed the gully below, sympathetically triggering a secondary avalanche.

Very minor cracking around skis on up track.

Forecasters visited this avalanche on 1/15. We found a 1-3.5' thick persistent slab HS-ARu-D2-O, NE aspect (only possible sight leeward aspect on that ridge which was super loaded) that was 40x40 ft, which sympathetically triggered another wind slab SS-ARy-D2-O on a SE/E aspect and failed 12-16" deep and was approximately 40'x200'. We performed a crown profile. Info can be found in the observations from 1.15.25
