The snowpack is generally well-settled. The last storm snow has settled and bonded well. The snow on sunny aspects may be sensitive to the sun.
Mountain Weather
Cloudy with the odd light snow shower, clearing in the afternoon. The southerly gale will ease in the afternoon. Freezing level rising from 1200m to 1500m in the morning.
Sliding Danger
The snow will be hard in places, especially in the morning. An ice axe and crampons will need to be carried for mountain travel.
