Quick report
Lots of wind distribution and noticed a thin hard slab on a previous run just near the top of the ridge. Figured this one would have been thin too, but it was about 12” at the crown and was about 50’ wide. I rode the slab for about 30 feet while scooting on top of the slab towards a tree I grabbed onto. The rest of the slab kept going and probably went another 400ft. After the lap, we noticed the same slab had almost totally filled back in by the time we got to the top. That’s how windy it was! Lessons were learned. That’s my first incident after about 150-200 tours since I started touring five years ago. Glad it wasn’t a thicker slab.
