White Steele

Today we navigated cloudy and white out conditions in the Telkwa ranges. There were moderate to strong SW winds throughout the day with lots of snow moving around. We couldn’t see much but we didn’t see any new avalanches. We dug on a west facing slope at 1500m that appeared to have been cross-loaded by the wind. Despite this, we didn’t have any significant results in our profile. We avoided going underneath large avalanche paths as we didn’t have the visibility to assess them.
