Diana Lake

We spent 4 days at Diana Lake Lodge from Feb 21 to Feb 25. Recent storm and wind events had deposited 10 to 20 cm on top of hard warming event crust. Steeper W and SW aspects had less snow and East and NE aspects had been more wind loaded. Weather was generally clear, light winds and cold with -30C overnight to -20C daytime on Tuesday Feb 22nd and warming to -10C by Friday with stronger wind gusts. We skied mellow West, SW and treed East slopes with good 10cm+ powder on solid base. Thursday morning the very steep East/lee slopes unloaded after several hours of sun.
