Pedley Pass Shred

We went up to pedley today, we went up the main chute at the very end of the road past the parking lot. then we went up the ridge to the top, and we had light to mod winds blowing S-SW.

When we got up to the chute, it was snowing a little and continued for another 45 minutes. After that there was blue skis and a few clouds here and there. With the wind chill it felt like it was -15.

When we rode down to the open trees, we found a nice spot to dig a pit at about 2:00pm. Our column was 160 cm. We had a very small fracture about 17cm down after 4 taps from the wrist. But it held up for all 30 hits because it was so small. Then we had another fracture about 40cm down after 16 taps hinging from the elbow. but like the other weak layer, it held up for all 30 hits surprisingly.
