We went out to outhouse hill for a small bit of touring and found that it was incredibly flat light (with all the clouds) and heavy windy effected snow conditions that made for poor turns. Dug a quick little pit and found that in that area we had about 130cm of snowpack. It was about 100cm of storm snow (from a couple of storms) and a thick ice layer at the bottom. We tested the snow and found for the ect it was solid all the way through. When prying on it it came off at 55cm as a big slab though.
