Avalanche Information

N gully of Cheops, immediately across from Teddy Bear trees. Was audible mid AM and viewed at 12p. Ran to valley bottom. Uncertain of crown elevation. Numerous skier triggered (x10+) and natural (×4) storm slab avalanches to sz 1.5, 20-25cm deep in Teddy Bear trees from 1500-2000m. See photos.

Weather

~15cm snow accumulation during the day. Moderate wind gusts w light blowing snow @ 2000m, just approaching treeline. Moderate up-valley gusts in the valley bottom @ 14:00. Didn't measure temps, but felt warm.

Snowpack

Very reactive storm slab conditions. Every convex and unsupported feature would reliable crack and slide w easy ski cuts. Snow was very soft and would run loose not long after propagating.
