Saved by the zip tie

Stronger than forecast winds today blowing from the west. Great riding conditions on slopes unaffected by the wind. Snow was very dense and stiff. Did a pass up to lightning strike and found a sheltered 30 degree slope. Skied a shorter steeper angle slope on the cliffy side. Observed some small releases at the very peak of lightning strike. Finished up with a pass down the east side of baldy. More concerning snow on that slope that was very slabby and had small isolated pockets releasing below us at times.

Very strong winds at ridgetop, gusting in the strong range at times.
