We took a tour around Clemina today. A mix of sun and clouds, light wind, and cold temperatures made for good travel. We saw evidence of an avalanche cycle from last weekend's warming event, dug down to check on the layers of concern, and tried to find some soft snow. The test results suggest that the persistent slab problem is improving. We are still wary of terrain features that transition from deep snow to shallow snow, where it may still be possible to trigger. Pockets of soft snow could be found in the trees and the corners of different zones where there is less traffic.
