Went for a walk in the 5 mile creek zone today. Around 10 cm of new snow didn’t stay dry for long. Day was warm and the greenhouse was in full effect.
Snow was moist on a north aspect up to ridgetop at 2200 m.
We had no notable results in our test profile, but we were still treating the terrain with caution because we remain suspicious of the snowpack structure in the area.
Turns were creamy up top, but quickly changed to pin wheels around 1900 m.
All in all, a nice day out in the W. Koots.
