Flurries and clouds mostly, with the occasional sun higher up. On the way up, in the open glades switch-backs (NE aspect) below the bowl, there was very hard crust/ice under about 10cm of powder outside of the skin tracks.
We had lunch at about 2250m, and dug a pit. Interestingly, we did not observe the crust (SE aspect).
Skiing down, the snow was generally good and powdery, but there were sections of icy/hard semi-buried/covered avy debris. Overall, a good day to be outside.
