Today we practiced our white out navigation touring across the prairie and over to the Y Glades.
Visibility was poor, winds were moderate from the SW and it was steadily snowing 1cm/hr and more at times. Once we were out of the wind it was warm and just holding a few degrees below freezing at 1400m.
We dug a profile at 1400m and had no propagating results in our extended column test but found the Jan 26 melt freeze layer down 20 cm thick in this location.
All in all it was some of the better turns you'll find on a Monday.
