Sluff management on North-facing couloirs

Skied several North facing sheltered couloirs/chutes in the Illy/Asulkan area today. 5-15cm of very low density surface facets over well consolidated but still soft snow, no crust, with sluffing moving fast and far on the consolidated base. Certainly enough to sweep you off your feet if not paying attention. Made for excellent ski quality!
