Quick Observation
Had a great day on Rogers Run, lots of fresh snow skiing really well. Clouds were in and out but the sun was out on grizzly shoulder from 10am onwards. Some smallish surface hoar was present in open areas on the uptrack and the snow felt slightly heavier at the top where it was in direct sun. We did a couple hand shears along the way, one of which released a block that failed in two places - 1 fairly planar around ~30cm down (assuming SH layer), and then another down ~40-50cm that was more of a resistant break. Also jumped on a couple pillows and only got one to release after a lot of effort. Overall we had good stability skiing down aside from the odd crack/soft slab underfoot, but nothing that actually moved or propagated. Was nice to get a little feedback without causing any real concern.
