Dug a snowpit in an isolated area in the trees and did two compression tests. HS:110 Compression test 1 results: CT25 BRK Down 60cm. broke on facets Compression test 2 results: CT5 PC Down 12cm. new snow The lower snowpack seemed to be more solid then expected and it seems the facets are beginning to round a bit. there is no surface hoar yet but it is to be expected in the coming days of cold weather.
