Feather Peak North Bowl

Skiied out to the North Bowl of Feather peak at midday on Saturday. By the road and at lower elevations snow was wet and sticky, but once we passed through the col the snow became a lot fluffier. In the north bowl, there was 25+ cm of powder. Ride quality was excellent. In the evening as we skied out, we hit a heavy sun crust that stretched from the bottom of the North Bowl to the highway. Other than wind lips and cornices, no other signs of instability were observed.
