Avalanche Information

Trip up Chickadee morning of March 15 found several fresh slabs with associated loose dry avalanches as well as significant sluffs triggered by rapid wind loading. Most of these were on the S facing side of the valley with crossloaded features. Evidence of previous solar triggered events were seen with fresh snow obscuring them. One significant slab on the N facing side of the valley. Up to 30 cm in the track and overlying the facets.

Weather

Snowing on the divide and broken to the east. Strong West winds moving lots of snow along the divide... as can be seen in the last photo...
