Little Crowfoot

Found a few good turns on Ferris Glacier and in the trees, but mostly sporadic wind affected snow and crust. Visibility wasn't the greatest, but didn't notice any signs of recent avalanches or instabilities. Didn't probe the glacier, but also didn't see any holes. The creek in the canyon has decent coverage. The walk across the lake at the end of the day is grim, as per usual. The lake itself is frozen over, but there are some spots in the gravel flats where you can sink into the slush.

-6 leaving the car, -8.5 returning. Winds were light to moderate coming mainly from the SW but occasionally from the north. The skin tracks were blown away by the wind at the end of the day.
