Sproatt NE Bowl

At 1600m, high temp of -2C. Convective flurries at times mod heavy graupel to 5mm. 20-25cm of facetting snow grains over solid 170216 crust. Bond between storm snow good to 1400m and then some sheering on facetted grains over crust producing loose dry sluffs on slopes over 40 degrees. We did not move into wind affected terrain or solar asp. No recent naturals observed. Riding quality very good on northeastern asp and little benches and small drops very pleasant. Skiing reasonable through old growth down to 1150m where snow became wet.
