Quick Observation

Today in the silver sands riding area the day started off cold (-15) and by the time we got back to the truck about (-6). The day was overcast with a bit of precipitation acouple cms. In our pit we had a wind slab layer reacting in the easy range (CTE8) down 25cm. We had another layer down 40cm reacting on the facet crust layer from February in the moderate range (CTM15). The facet base layer is sitting roughly 150cm down and is reacting in hard range (CTH24). As the warm weather moves in this week so will the increased risk of Avalanches. Have fun and play safe out there!
