Vermillion Peak

Nice day on vermillion peak. There were a few other groups out there despite the freezing cold start (-28). There was a nice inversion and it felt balmy in the alpine comparatively. Tons of wind transport going on at ridge top. Surface snow only had a slight wind skin in exposed areas though. Huge cornices. Saw an old slab avalanche across the valley. There was also an old skier triggered size 1 off of the vermillion peak ridge, looks like it triggered off a rocky spot and only propagated about 5 m.
