All we need is a little patience!!! Managing a persistent weak layer requires patience. We are not seeing the obvious clues like shooting cracks and whumpfing, but in our snowpack tests today we continue to find a reactive January 24 surface hoar layer. The layer is widespread in the lizard range flathead region which leaves limited terrain options. We will continue to select terrain with slopes below 30 degrees and exercise a little patience.
