Avalanche Control Results Simpson Avalanche Paths

Helicopter avalanche control on the Simpson road paths produced 10 slabs with 10 shots. 5 were size 1-1.5 and 5 were sz 2-2.5 with a depth of 40-50 cm in wind affected snow. The planned avalanche control for Mt Whymper was cancelled due to high winds and poor visibility for the second day running... we will likely revisit this Sunday or Monday as the weather improves.
